"Good morning crewmen." Dorren quipped with a smile. "Morning, sir." The crewmen replied. Dorren looked around for a moment and then walked out into the hall towards the turbolift. ~It is a good thing I brushed up on the Prometheus deck plans before I came over. Now it should be the third left.~ (USS Hades - Bridge Turbolift - ACEO Ensign (Jg) Dorren Valanar - 0655) As the doors of the turbolift slid open Dorren could see several bridge crew look over. "Ensign Dorren Valanar, reporting as ordered." (reply Straton, Any) (Posted by Blair Stewart) (USS Hades, Bridge, CO Captain Eva Straton, 06:56) Eva was sitting in the command chair reading over the reports from the gamma shift when she heard the turbolift doors open. As it was in the middle of a shift change, Eva didn't bother looking up from her reading but then an unfamiliar voice called out drawing her attention. "Ensign Dorren Valanar, reporting as ordered." Eva frowned as she stood and looked over to see a young ensign still standing inside the turbolift. Eva's eyes narrowed. "Step out of the turbolift Ensign," Eva said coldly, pointing to the spot right in front of her. She kept her gaze on the ensign as he moved over to stand in front of her. "I see the Academy is getting lax in it's training cadets in the proper method of reporting in. Your orders Ensign," Eva continued, holding out her hand. She took the PADD Ensign Valanar handed her and pressed her thumb against it's scanner to unlock it's encrypted orders. "Ensign Valanar ACEO," Eva said, having finished reading the order and turning her gaze back on the Ensign. "Welcome Aboard the Hades, though you will want to brush up on the proper way to report in to a commanding officer. For now, get your gear stowed in your quarters then report in to your department head Lt. Wright in Main Engineering. She will give you your duty assignment and give you any pertinent information you might need. If there are no questions, you are dismissed." (Reply Valanar, Any) Posted by Wes) (USS Hades, Bridge, ACEO Ensign Dorren Valanar, 6:58)   "Ensign Valanar ACEO," Eva said, having finished reading the order and turning her gaze back on the Ensign. If there are no questions, you are dismissed." On the second reference to his failed reporting Dorren winced slightly. The fresh wound was still painful. Dorren knew he had messed up and first impressions were always so important. "Thank you sir. It wont happen again." Dorren said with his usual respect for authority. With that he rushed off the bridge and it seemed like forever before the turbolift doors finally closed. "Engineering Crew Accommodations," ~Ok, a quick stop off to unload my things and then to Engineering.~ (USS Hades, Primary Main Engineering, ACEO Ensign Dorren Valanar, 7:05) As Dorren got closer to Engineering his thoughts about the encounter on the bridge faded and his excitement of his posting was coming back. With the swoosh of the main door Dorren immediately fell in love. ~What a fine piece of equipment.~ Looking around for the Lieutenant Dorren made his way through engineering. He found her, she was giving out assignments so Dorren waited patiently until she was done. "Lieutenant Wright?" He could sense acknowledgment from her. "Ensign Dorren Valanar reporting in."  (Reply Wright, Any) (Posted by Blair) (USS Hades, Main Engineering, CEO Lieutenant Darla Wright, 0710) Darla was standing in the middle of main Engineering with a PADD in one hand and a cup of steaming coffee in the other, a small cluster of engineers were gathered around her as she reviewed the data that they had provided her on the PADD. "This looks good." she commented as she cycled through the more critical aspects of the reports, "but I think we may want to focus our attentions on the Heisenberg compensator assembly in the secondary transporter circuits, looks like we might be seeing signs of some quantum scaring inside the gravimeter housing there, probably a result of the collapsar incident a few weeks back. Take them off-line one at a time and conduct a physical inspection. If you find anything at all, replace them, otherwise reassemble it and move on. This isn't a critical problem and it's not life-threatening so we don't have to worry too much about speed. Take your time and do the job right." "Aye, sir." they replied almost in unison. "Very good, then you're dismissed." The little tangle of engineers scattered and Darla took the time to take a two-handed drink of her coffee. She could feel it warming the cockles of her heart. It was relaxing and stimulating at the same time, one of those small paradoxes in the universe that defied explanation. "Lieutenant Wright?" a voice sounded behind her. Darla turned slowly to see a new face. He was considerably taller than she was, and his dark eyes and hair gave him an almost dangerous quality. He was athletic and toned and darla realized, somewhat guiltily, that if she's seen him before she would have remembered him. ~You are sooooo bad, girl~ She chided herself. "Yes that's right... and you are?" "Ensign Dorren Valanar reporting in." he replied. Almost immediately she blushed and had to break eye contact. His name indicated that he was a Betazoid and her thoughts could have been a little, well... embarrassing if he'd picked up on them. It took her a few moments to regain her composure. And despite the potential embarrassment of the situation, she put on a smile, which thankfully seemed to be returned, before she addressed Valanar again. "Welcome aboard, Ensign." she said evenly, "And more importantly welcome to the best Engineering department serving on the best ship in the fleet. We're glad to have you here with us." (reply Valanar) She smiled at him. "Have you had time to get settled in yet? Quarters and the like?" (reply Valanar) "Excellent. Well, I can only assume that you'd just arrived, since I haven't even received notice that you were coming. Have you had a chance to check in with medical and counseling yet? Or security for that matter, to get your access codes?" (reply Valanar) Darla nodded with a knowing smile on her face. "I know it can be a bit overwhelming at first, reporting in to your first duty station involves a lot of different things. A lot of which they never tell you about at the academy." She smiled at him again. "But then again, how else do you expect to get around the ship on your first day, if you don't know the other department heads?" (reply Valanar) Why don't you introduce yourself to your counterpart, Ensign Mac Liam, he's another of the Assistant chief Engineers and should be around here somewhere. I believe he was working on some of the ships tactical diagnostics this morning. Then, take the time to check in with Medical, that would be Doctor Trommashere, Counseling, which is Ensign Ripley and finally Security which is run by Lieutenant Trinin. Once you have the basics out of the way, you can feel free to visit Lieutenant Bracken in Sciences if you want to meet our resident scientific genius. I'll put together a rotation rota for you and you can start your shift first thing tomorrow morning. Welcome to the senior engineering staff." (reply Valanar) Daniel Greene (USS Hades, Main Engineering, ACEO Ensign Dorren Valanar, 0712) Dorren could tell that his presence had elicited a response within the Lieutenent. This was something that he had gotten used to living on Earth. Humans could not control their thoughts and emotions. It was flattering, but sometimes a little mystery was refreshing. He tensed his psyche and was able to keep out the majority of her invading emotions. ~Much better.~ He also noted that on responding with his name she became embarrassed, possibly recognizing his Betazoid heritage , ~Usually it is the eyes that give it away, I wonder how much Betazoid history she knows. I will have to come back to this later.~ When she finally looked back to smile he was relieved and smiled back, she was actually quite attractive. "Welcome aboard, Ensign and more importantly welcome to  the best Engineering department serving on the best ship in the fleet. We're glad to have you here with us."  "I am very glad to be here. The Hades is indeed a fine ship. I cannot wait to get inside her and see what shes made of." He said glancing over towards the warp core. She smiled at him. "Have you had time to get settled in yet? Quarters and the like?" Looking back to Wright, "I stopped off at my quarters to drop off my things. I assume that I will have time to unpack during my off hours, until then I am ready to serve." ~Ready to serve.. what a line~ Dorren scolded himself. "Excellent. Well, I can only assume that you'd just arrived, since I haven't even received notice that you were coming. Have you had a chance to check in with medical and counseling yet? Or security for that matter, to get your access codes?" "Honestly I have only been to the bridge to meet the lovely Captian," Dorren said with a slight hint of sarcasm, judging the response of the lieutenant as he went. "I suppose I should do the rounds, but I was directed to speak with you first." "I know it can be a bit overwhelming at first, reporting in to your first duty station involves a lot of different things. A lot of which they never tell you about at the academy. But then again, how else do you expect to get around the ship on your first day, if you don't know the other department heads?" "Very true, all in good time. Where do you suggest that I start?" Dorren asked genuinely seeking some assistance. Why don't you introduce yourself to your counterpart, Ensign Mac Liam, he's another of the Assistant chief Engineers and should be around here somewhere. Welcome to the senior engineering staff." "I will seek out Ensign Mac Liam. I appreciate all your assistance Sir." With a nod and a grin, "I am glad to be apart of such a great team here on the Hades."  With that, Dorren lowers his telepathic wall slightly to give the lieutenant a very subtle happy feeling. Much like one would experience sitting in a meadow on a clear spring day. ~ I am sorry for the discomfort that I caused, enjoy this instead. ~ Dorren thought, pleased with himself, he walks deeper into the vast room. ~Now, where would that Ensign be I wonder.~ (reply Mac Liam, Wright, Any) (USS Hades - Main Engineering - ACEO Ensign Eoin Mac Liam - 07:14) Eoin stood up from under his panel, making sure not to hit his head. ~Now that I've got that working,~ he thought to himself, ~I can get this diagnostic underway.~ He sat at his console, and pulled up the tactical systems display. He looked them over quickly for a preliminary check. Deeming that there were no great faults with them, he elected a Level 3 diagnostic. He set it to run, and noted the estimated time to completion. ~Three hours?! When I get a chance, I'm going to have a word with the Starfleet Corps of Engineers about the length of time it takes to run a simple diagnostic.~ Sighing, he logged out of his console, and grabbed a repair kit. Rather than putter around here for three hours, he decided to go to Tactical Control, where he could quickly address any problems that may arise. Upon slinging the repair kit, he saw a new engineer right nearby. The black eyes made Eoin think that he was probably Betazoid. ~Ah, feoil úr,~ Eoin thought jokingly, wondering if the ensign picked up on it. (reply Valanar, any) (posted by Spencer) (USS Hades - Dorren's Quarters - ACEO Ensign Dorren Valanar - 9:23) Dorren was wondering around his quarters. Thinking about what Lt. Wright said, ~I really should speak with the department heads.~ Dorren could tell that he was procrastinating. He never liked Doctors, and liked councilor even less. He did not like people poking around him his body or his mind. ~Maybe I will go talk to Lieutenent Trinin.~ "Computer where is Lieutenant Trinin?" The computer beeped, "Lieutenant Trinin is on the Bridge." Dorren frowned as he remembered his last trip to the bridge. ~Maybe not, I will have to catch him when he is off duty or something.~ Dorren sat down and thought about his options for several moments until he was almost startled by the voice of the Captian. =^=Attention all senior officers this is the Captain. There will be a senior officers meeting in the Observation Lounge at 11:00.  I will expect departmental readiness reports to be presented.  Straton out.=^= ~A meeting, great. Maybe I can get all my acquaintance taken care of at the same time.~ Feeling pretty good about his new find, Dorren walked to his replicator and ordered himself some Vulcan tea. ~Now, that I have taken care of the priorities, maybe I should give Bracken a visit.~ (USS Hades- Security Offices- CTAC/CSEC Lt. Baylon Trinin - 0920) Baylon sat in the black leather chair located in his old office turned away from the desk so that he could take a good long look out the portal at the stars as they rushed by beyond the transparent aluminum view port. In his left hand he held a smooth weather stone from Peak 32-G Prime, the mountain that he and some of the other members of the Hades Crew had just conquered less than a week prior during their shore leave on Tiren III. It was a peaceful moment, one in which he could contemplate the fact that instead of a glass of Andorian Whiskey he was instead holding a stone. of course it was no ordinary stone. Baylon had impressed the moment of his conquest of the peak using the Ullian memory techniques he had learned back on Betazed. This stone was only the most recent of the items that he had so impressed. It numbered among the stone from Mount Cathos on Andoria and the Stone taken from the shore of a small peaceful pond on Bajor when he and Ranae had visited her family. The large Alterian statue still stood in the center of his quarters where it had been placed when he had purchased it with the intent to present it to Ranae as a wedding gift. Around it's neck hung the antique Orion wedding jewelry that she was going to wear when they were married. But Starfleet had a way of getting involved in the private lives of their officers. Ranae had been transferred away to the Mithrandir, where apparently she had forgotten him and called off their engagement. he had of course been tremendously upset over that, but the culmination of her departure, Captain Sash's death and several other personal aspects had run their course. Baylon had taken to drink to attempt to numb the physical and emotional pain. He had lost his position as department head, and found himself struggling just to make sense of what he'd become. His career had been on the verge of coming to a rapid end, before counseling with Riven Mias and the catharsis of the strange emotional phenomenon caused by Magnetar PX 1354 had allowed him to achieve a state from which he was rebounding. The two weeks on Tiren III had only helped speed along that recovery. Now with T'Vof leaving the ship, Captain Straton had decided to place her trust in him once again and give him the opportunity to resume his old duties, which brought him full circle back to this very place; this specific chair and to the duties of the office that he was currently occupying. Baylon turned the chair at a sedate pace until he was once again facing the mostly empty desk that dominated the smallish office. He placed the stone to the left side of the desk and reached out to pick up one of the PADDs sitting there waiting his attention. He had almost reached it when the intercom on the ship chirped for attention and the captain's voice sounded from the speaker plate. =^=Attention all senior officers this is the Captain. There will be a senior officers meeting in the Observation Lounge at 11:00. I will expect departmental readiness reports to be presented. Straton out.=^= Baylon smiled. ~It's good to be back.~ he thought contentedly, as he reached down and sent an automated acknowledgement to the captain to let her know that he had received her message. He then waited just a moment or two longer before tapping his own commbadge, " Trinin to Ensign Katsurou, please report to my office within the next fifteen minutes. I'd like to discuss some things with you." (reply Katsurou) "Very good Ensign. Trinin out." (USS Hades- Main Engineering- CEO Lt. Darla Wright - 0922) "And this one is an arthropodal animal that has biological similarities to Terran mammals. It's so unusual that the xenobiologist on the mission said that they've never even heard of a creature with such an intermingled biological distinction" Darla shrugged, "whatever that means." "So you discovered three unique life forms on that planet and managed to photograph them all with your holocamera?" Ensign Rochas asked. Darla shook her head, "I wouldn't say discovered. I'd say cataloged." there's a good chance that some of them at least showed up on the initial survey sensors when the planet was cataloged. Besides, it's not like they are going to name the darned things after me or anything." "Still it's exciting." Emma continued, " there on an alien planet cataloging creatures that no one else has ever seen before." Darla shrugged. "I wouldn't go that far. I was really just looking for some interesting photographs. Something unique." "Well you certainly got those." Emma stated with a smile and a slight chuckle. "yeah, I guess I did." Darla reached over and flipped off the display screen to her holocamera. She had finally exhausted the entire collection of images speaking with Emma on the subject. And despite what she may have said, Three unique species cataloged was pretty exciting business, even if she was an engineer and not a scientist. She had just lifted the small device from the workspace where she had been displaying it when the captain's voice sounded over the intercom. =^=Attention all senior officers this is the Captain. There will be a senior officers meeting in the Observation Lounge at 11:00. I will expect departmental readiness reports to be presented. Straton out.=^= ~Time to get back to work.~ Darla thought to herself. ~Ah well, Shore leave had to end sometime, I suppose.~ Darla tapped her Commbadge, "Wright to Mac Liam, how are you doing on the tactical system's diagnostics?" she asked. (reply Mac Liam) "Good. I'll present the Drive and general systems report to the captain at the meeting. I'd like for you to handle the tactical systems engineering reports." (reply Mac Liam) (USS Hades - Tactical System Control - ACEO Ensign Eoin Mac Liam - 09:23) Eoin looked over his console. The diagnostic was progressing nicely. But having it take so long was a bit boring. He fished in his pocket, and found a polished stone on a string. He rubbed it over, smiling at it. He had gotten it from the top of 32-G Prime, and found a way to polish it while on Tiren III. Now that he was back, he spent his spare time carving it. He took up a laser scalpel and began on the central design once more. Along one edge of the stone, he had already carved the Ogham letters for "Tiren Trí," commemorating the stone's origin. And in the middle, he was carving a Celtic knot design. When it was finished, he would wear it under his uniform as a charm. He was just starting on the intricate pattern along the right edge when his commbadge chirped. =^=Attention all senior officers this is the Captain. There will be a senior officers meeting in the Observation Lounge at 11:00. I will expect departmental readiness reports to be presented. Straton out.=^= Quickly putting the amulet and laser scalpel away, he sent an automated acknowledgement. Then, his commbadge chirped again just as he was getting his amulet back out. =/\=Wright to Mac Liam, how are you doing on the tactical system's diagnostics?=/\= He tapped his commbadge quickly in reply. "Mac Liam here. It's going well. I expect that it will be done in the next hour or so." =/\=Good. I'll present the Drive and general systems report to the captain at the meeting. I'd like for you to handle the tactical systems engineering reports.=/\= "Understood. Mac Liam out." He tapped his commbadge again, and went back to carving his amulet. ~I can quickly write up a report when the diagnostic ends. I don't expect any big problems.~ (USS Hades- Bridge- COUNS Ensign Anamitra Ripley - 0924) Every once in a while, Ana liked to actually sit in the seat on the bridge assigned for the counselor. And while it was normal for her to be elbows deep in crew reviews, counseling sessions or staying up-to-date on the latest treatment techniques, it was abnormal for her to actually do any of that while she was on the bridge rather than in her office. After the wonderful time on the planet, enjoying the luscious sun and surf, Ana had come to the realization that she really didn't know the people that she was serving with on a truly personal level. She understood them on a clinical level, and could diagnose their various mental states with precision accuracy, but that only gave her a sense of how those individuals thought, what motivated them and what challenges they faced within the recesses of her own mind. It had been a wake-up call when she had realized that she really didn't KNOW them at all, despite the nearly three years that she had served with many of them. She didn't know their likes or dislikes, or for that matter their favorite things or those things that they despised the most. She had always maintained a very distinct dividing line between being a counselor and conducting a personal relationship with the people that she worked with. In the past, it had always worked for her, but now somehow that sort of clinical interaction left her feeling incomplete and isolated. Thus, her attempt to integrate herself into the everyday lives of the crew a little better. She hoped that exposure to the people that she worked with, outside the clinical counseling session, might actually give her some insight that she had been missing before. Besides, a little bit of interaction never really hurt anyone and was statistically more likely to help in the long run. maybe she could shed the aloof image that she had acquired over the course of her time here and integrate more fully with the crew of the Hades. And inwardly she had to admit, that being on the bridge felt good. It was something she had realized she had been avoiding since her piloting job aboard the Hades during the last battle of the civil war. Seeing the Pravda there on the screen those years ago, had traumatized her, she had come to realize, but now she knew what she had to do to get past it. She had to spend a lot more time on the bridge, making herself available should the captain or anyone else need her expertise. She listened as the captain announced the senior staff meeting, and smiled again, knowing that she was going to be in a position to give her some very good news indeed. (USS Hades, Bridge, CO Captain Eva Straton, 09:25) Eva sat in the command chair watching the view screen as the stars streaked by as the Hades moved at warp toward their destination. Around her the Bridge crew went about their duties with quite precision. The two weeks of leave seemed to have done a world of good for the crews moral. Now everyone was ready to get back to work and back to the stars and exploring the great unknown. ~Our next mission will give us a chance to do that,~ Eva thought, ~Patrolling an area of space around Deep Space 12 that hasn't been fully explored yet there is no telling what we might come across next. Too bad Lt Haynes and T'Vof couldn't be here, but T'Vof's reassignment caught us all by surprise. When Lt. Haynes asked for an extended leave to accompany her to her new assignment while she got settled in I couldn't refuse him. The two have helped each other heal.~ Eva's thoughts were interrupted by a yeoman handing her a PADD for her review. Eva took the PADD and read it over quickly before pressing her thumb to the PADD's scanner and handing it back to the yeoman. It would be several days before they got to their patrol sector. "Attention all senior officers this is the Captain," Eva said, as she pressed a button on the arm of her chair. "There will be a senior officers meeting in the Observation Lounge at 11:00. I will expect departmental readiness reports to be presented. Straton out." She closed the connection and turned her attention once more to the view screen and the stars streaking by what would they find this time in the great unknown? (Reply All) (posted by Wes) (USS Hades, Bridge, CSO Bracken, 09:30)   Dale had been woken early, woken by two sleepless eyes. Aimee hadn’t slept well these last two or three nights, deep within herself Dale rather felt that she was being tested, that Aimee was pushing her mother’s boundaries to see how far things could be stretched. There had been one or two isolated little incidents where she hadn’t finished her dinner, claiming not to be hungry, but miraculously deciding that she was actually hungry enough for dessert. Problem was of course, Dale had never really been a morning person, and certainly not when being awoken at 0430 by her 3 year old daughter. It was easier for the moment to allow her to ‘sleep in mommy’s bed’ than to stand her ground and make a battle of something at that ridiculous hour in the morning. Dale knew, of course, that she was making a rod for her own back, and doing everything all wrong according to all good parenting advice, but at the moment, the path of least resistance was the most attractive.   She had got up at 0600, showered and pulled on her duty uniform, she almost never wore off-duty clothes, the last 2 weeks R&R had been the first time in who knew how long she had really switched off completely from the uniform. Following breakfast, the usual messy affair, involving more going on the table that in Aimee’s mouth, Dale had left for duty, slightly early thanks to the prompt arrival of the carer. She’d arrived on the bridge, again, earlier than her shift denoted, but replaced the duty officer nonetheless, relieving him of the last 15 minutes of his duty so he could get on and finish his shift reports. She logged herself into the terminal, her own screen setup, non-standard to compared to what was normal, came up immediately, she read one or two messages that had been left for her, then opened a channel to the rest of the science department.  “Duty Science teams this is Bracken, I want you to carry on with current allocated research, apart from Astrometrics sub-team B I’d like you to look back at neutron flow densities for the final moments of our time near PX-1354. Xenobiology, see if you can’t catalogue any records that may have been taken from Tiren III. Many thanks, Bracken out.”  "Attention all senior officers this is the Captain," The captain said, as she pressed a button on the arm of her chair.  "There will be a senior officers meeting in the Observation Lounge at 11:00.  I will expect departmental readiness reports to be presented.  Straton out."  (USS Hades-Sickbay-ACMO Ensign Hawkeye Dolphine-0945) After the shore leave had completed, Hawkeye was back to work. With only minor injuries in sickbay being treated by the duty medic, Hawkeye continued his research project. He was currently testing the treatment plans that SF Medical had sent regarding hypothermia in treatment of severe plasma inhuries. His old colleague, Dr. John Hunnington, Had sent him a new medical theroy to test. Hunnington was the head of medical research back on Earth. After reviewing the proposed treatment course guidelines and program specifications, Hawkeye was headed down to the holodeck to begin testing the treatment protocols. "I'll be in Holodeck one if you need me" Hawkeye told the duty medic. As Hawkeye headed down the corridor to the holodeck, his thoughts flashed back to the time spent on Tiren III. It was good to sit back with his new shipmates and be able to have some sort of relaxed time with them. From the time Hawkeye had transferred to the Hades from his prior duty station, he had not had the chance to become aquainted with most of his new shipmates. Now after the shore leave, he felt more at home, like he had more of a chance to make friends on board. As he rounded the corner to the holodeck he heard his commbadge chirp and the Captain's voice come over. =/\= "Attention all senior officers this is the Captain, There will be a senior officers meeting in the Observation Lounge at 11:00. I will expect departmental readiness reports to be presented. Straton out." =/\= Hawkeye made a note of how much time he had left before needing to change into a new uniform and reporting to the observation lounge. (USS Hades- Corridor outside Ready Room- aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 10:00) Bohb was enjoying his new ship. Well, technically it wasn't his ship yet. Although he'd accepted the post of FO on one of the most advanced ships in the fleet, he hadn't actually reported in to his CO. He'd just managed to get to the ship before they left orbit from their R and R. He stowed his gear and decided to get a sense of the ship before reporting in. One of things he always had to get used to were the new smells. Although the ship was kept immaculately clean, he could still smell the ... humanness of the ship. Human odor was always most intriguing to him. It was so ... diverse. He knew it was due to the diversity of their diets. They gave off a different odor in their sweat. For the most part he enjoyed the human smell. Not like Vulcans, who had a tang to their odor that Bohb could almost taste. Not that he had anything against Vulcans. He just had trouble appreciating their smell. Although he did appreciate their sharp minds. He reached out with his left hand and gently touched the wall of the vessel. Closing his eyes he felt the slight vibrations caused by the daily operations of the ship. It all felt... right. His rough simian hand slid gently around in a slight circle. He could feel the hum of the warp core, and smiled. Gods he loved space travel. He had learned long ago to ignore the stares and looks of others, so as he strolled through the ship he took the gawks to be ones of an unfamiliar officer, rather than an unfamiliar creature. Being the only Magillan surving on a starship, at this time, it was normal for others to try and learn. One learns best through observation, so stares didn't bother him. Usually what bothered him were the stupid questions. He remembered a particular incident at the academy when one of the upper class "bullies" decided to continually try at aggravate Bohb. He would ask him questions like what kind of a monkey he was, and why he didn't have a tail like all of the best monkeys. Bohb knew better than to respond so he just ignored him, until the day that Simon put a banana into his salad. Bohb was in the medical bay for nearly a week after his alergic reaction sent him into anaphylactic shock. Bohb's immediate reaction was to reach out and squeeze Simon's arm. Bohb left the medical in a week. Simon spent several more weeks relearning to use the arm that Bohb had crushed. Still, he looked forward to the day he could walk through the corridors and be recognized, or perhaps even not noticed. However, as first officer, he wasn't sure if that would be possible. He opened his eyes and moved to the door of the ready room, thinking that this would be more appropriate than simply showing up on the bridge. That would come soon enough. He reached out and touched the door chime, waiting to be invited in. (reply Straton) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades, Ready Room, CO, Captain Eva Straton, 10:02) Eva was going over various reports from Star Fleet and preparing for the upcoming senior officers meeting when her door chime sounded. "Enter," She said, looking up from her terminal screen. Her expression didn't change when an officer wearing Lt. Commander pips walkedinto the room. ~This must be Lt. Commander Bohb.~ She thought as she watched and waited. (Reply Bohb, Any) (Posted by Wes) (USS Hades- Corridor outside Ready Room- aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 10:03) Bohb stepped into the Ready Room and looked around. It had been his experience that Ready Rooms were an extension of the CO's personality. Not much could be said of this ready room. Clearly, Captain Straton was a miltary minded person. In fact, Bohb knew of her past as a marine. She was a strong female. She would have been quite a prize for a mate on Magilla, as long she knew when she should be dominated. He moved across the room and stopped in front of the CO's desk. "Lt. Commander Bohb reporting for duty, Captain Straton." He offered her the PADD with his transfer orders. "I apologize for not checking in earlier, however, this transfer was so sudden and I wanted to familiarize myself with some aspects of the ship, so I did take a rather roundabout way up here. I know that it is not exactly protocal and I will submit myself to any disciplinary action that you may feel necessary." (reply Straton) (posted by Al Muir)  (USS Hades- Holodeck 1- ACMO Ensign Hawkeye Dolphine, 1015) Hawkeye entered the holodeck and tapped his commbadge. "Hawkeye to Angeni, Chase, IF you two are interested I am testing an experimental treatment for severe plasma burns in Holdeck 1. I would love to have you two join me if you have a few minutes before the staff meeting." (Reply Angeni, Chase) (USS Hades- Observation Lounge- CTAC/CSEC Lt. Baylon Trinin - 1050) Baylon strode into the observation lounge with a spring in his step and a smile on his lips. He carried a PADD in his left hand, which he swung enthusiastically as he walked. He placced the personal device on the table top in front of his usual position and stepped over to the replicator. He tapped a few buttons on the device, quickly scrolling through the beverage selections before settling on an Orange Italian soda. With a couple of additional presses of the control interface, the tall tumbler materialized filled with a light orange sparkling beverage. Ice cubes clinked against the sides of the glass as he removed his beverage from the device and carried it back to his seat. Then, he settled in and took a nice long drink of his beverage. (reply Katsurou, Any) Daniel Greene (USS Hades- Observation Lounge- COUNS Ensign Anamitra Ripley - 1056) Ana took her seat immediately after retrieving a mug of hot chocolate from the replicator. She carried only her PADD which in turn contained the latest treatment for retrofocal amnesia. It was something that she had been looking into ever since she had learned that the captain had suffered from a similar affect several years ago. As far as the Counselor knew, she had never regained some of those lost memories and that meant that there was an opportunity for Ana to perhaps offer some of her services to the stalwart commander of the Hades for a change. It was an attempt to connect with the enigmatic woman on a more personal level rather than a strictly professional one and Ana hoped that it would be taken for what it truly was, a desire to help. She settled into her chair and took a sip of her drink, waiting for the meeting to begin. (reply Any) Daniel Greene (USS Hades, Observation lounge, CSO Bracken, 10:57)  Dale strolled into the large room, making a small diversion to the replicator as she crossed.  “Coffee, Strong, black, 85 degrees C.”  She waited a second as the drink appeared, then lifted the hot cup, shifting her PADD into the other hand, then took a gentle sip before turning away and taking her normal seat at the table, across from Ana, flashing her a smile of greeting, and nodding to the other officers who also occupied the large table that dominated the room. (Reply any) (posted by Mark) (USS Hades- Observation Lounge- ACEO Ensign Eoin Mac Liam - 10:57.5) Eoin strolled into the Observation Lounge, his freshly written report under his arm. He set his PADD down as he passed by his usual seat, and headed over to the replicator. He ordered a glass of spiced hot apple cider. He felt in the mood for something autumnal this morning. He took a sip as he settled into his seat, as he saw Wright walk in. She quickly settled into her chair next to him. "Here we go." she said as the meeting prepared to get underway. "So goes the world. We'll be fine," he said with his signature smile, and placing his hand on hers. (reply Wright, any) (posted by Spencer) (USS Hades- Observation Lounge- CEO Lt. Darla Wright - 1058) Darla stepped into the Observation Lounge a little later than she would have liked, but still early enough to avoid being late. She quickly settled into her chair next to Mac Liam. "Here we go." she said as the meeting prepared to get underway. (reply Mac Liam, Any) Daniel Greene (USS Hades-Conference Room- CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere-1058.5) Angeni bolted into the conference room, her white lab coat billowing behind her. Busy with an experiment in the lab, she had lost track of time.  She wanted to make sure to leave herself time to finish her tests later before she finished up her other plans: finishing up a proposal to train her Medics to work directly with the security teams, but her proposal was still in the infancy stages. She sat down in a chair, finishing up her notes for the meeting, then she pulled out her proposal and worked on it until the meeting began. (Reply None) (Posted By Kari) (USS Hades- Observation Lounge- ACEO Ensign Dorren Valanar - 10:58.75) Dorren was fairly nervous to see the captain again. He just hoped that his presence would be so insignificant that she wouldn't even notice him. ~Here goes nothing.~ Dorren thought to himself as he walked into the Observation Lounge to see several officers intermingling. He looked over and saw Wright and Mac Liam sitting together. Dorren relaxed a bit as he walked towards the seat next to them. It was good to see a few familiar faces. He smiled at them as he passed by. "I hope this seat isn't taken." Dorren said just loud enough for the Engineers to hear. (reply Mac Liam, Wright, iyw) Dorren sat down and surveyed the table. ~Well.. this should be fun.~ (reply Any) (posted by Blair Stewart) (USS Hades- Observation Lounge, ACMO Ensign Hawkeye Dolphine-1059) Hawkeye walked into the observation lounge with a cup of coffee in one hand and a PADD in the other. He found an open seat next to his shipmmates and waited as Captian Straton began the staff meeting. (Reply any) (Posted by Ben) (USS Hades, Observation Lounge - ATAC Takeshi Katsurou -1059.25) Takeshi entered the Observation Lounge at a speedy pace, he slowed down to a normal walk and nodded to those present before claiming the nearest empty seat. He'd become a bit preoccupied reading over some Hades mission logs and lost track of the time. The young ensign grinned widely for no apparent reason. But for him everything in the world was going as it should be. R&R had been great, it had given him an opportunity toget to know his fellow crew members and although he hadn't really made any friends yet Takeshi did feel a lot more comfortable working around them. (Reply, none needed) Christopher Black (USS Hades, Observation Lounge, ATT Lt. Commander Zzt, 1059.5) Zzt walked into the Lounge PADD in paw. He waved at everyone as he stepped through the door. He then moved over to his usual spot in the corner and sat down on the floor. Lifting his PADD, Zzt read over the work he'd been doing before coming to the meeting.
